Quran Vacabulary

بِسْمِIn (the) nameٱللَّهِ(of) Allah,ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Gracious,ٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Merciful.1

ٱلْحَمْدُAll praises and thanksلِلَّهِ(be) to Allah,رَبِّ(the) Lordٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ(of all) the worlds.2

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِThe Most Gracious,ٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Merciful.3

مَـٰلِكِMasterيَوْمِ(of the) Dayٱلدِّينِ(of) [the] Judgment.4

إِيَّاكَYou Aloneنَعْبُدُwe worship,وَإِيَّاكَand You Aloneنَسْتَعِينُwe ask for help.5

ٱهْدِنَاGuide usٱلصِّرَٲطَ(to) the path,ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَthe straight.6

صِرَٲطَ(The) pathٱلَّذِينَ(of) thoseأَنْعَمْتَYou have bestowed (Your) Favorsعَلَيْهِمْon them,غَيْرِnot (of)ٱلْمَغْضُوبِthose who earned (Your) wrathعَلَيْهِمْon themselves,وَلَاand notٱلضَّآلِّينَ(of) those who go astray.

  8. Al-‘Anfal 8.1 Narrated Uthman ibn Affan (رضي الله عنه) (Surah) Al-Anfal is the first surah that was revealed at Medina. Sunan Abi Dawud 786 8.2 Narrated Sa`id bin Jubair (رضي الله عنه) I asked Ibn `Abbas regarding Surat Al-Anfal. He said, “It was revealed in connection with the Battle of Badr.” Sahih al-Bukhari Vol. 6, Book 60, Hadith 168 8.3 Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) To those also, to whom your right hand was pledged, give their due portion. A man made an agreement with another man (in early days of Islam), and there was no relationship between them ; one of them inherited from the other. Al-Mu’minun 23.1 It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم)  said: “There is no one among you who does not have two abodes: An abode in Paradise and an abode in Hell. If he dies and enters Hell, the people of Paradise inherit his abode.
